The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University are pleased to announce the exhibit, Ohio Designer Craftsmen, Best of 2022. The annual juried exhibition, which has been going on for 39 years around the state, travels to Kent this year and is on display August 25 –September 29 in the CVA, Payto and Crawford Galleries located in the Center for the Visual Arts, 325 Terrace Drive, Kent, Ohio. Juried from nearly 300 entries, Betty Talbott, director emeritus of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, selected works by 83 artists mostly from Ohio but all with Ohio connections. Andrew Kuebeck, assistant professor of jewelry/metals/enameling, current jewelry/metals/enameling MFA candidate Corey Drew, and glass MFA candidate Ben Miller have had work selected for the “Best of 2022” Ohio Designer Craftsmen's 39th annual juried members' exhibition. Additionally, works by School of Art alumni Benjamin Johnson, Rachel Suzanne Smith, and James Bowling were also included. The exhibition showcases works in clay, glass, fiber, wood, metal and mixed media.
